Flynn highlights the benefits of breaking life down into different "time horizons." Success means different things at different points in life. To define that, he discusses the importance of discerning your purpose (versus "accomplishments" and "achieving"). Who do you want to be? He includes some very practical advice, and toward the end he gives 20 year old Flynn (his younger self) some advice!
Alex has a number of great observations about watching for the "smaller things" that might drive our interests, and make us more energetic about doing the networking, talking and researching needed to find something. He also reflects on the effects of the pandemic on career paths.
Anne describes her journey from music to perfuming arts (and how she reacted to the performing arts world) to business school to management consulting, and then back into the art world and nonprofit life. She also talked about the influences of her family on her choices, and how she glances family and work life.
Andy's interest in IT and leaning COBALT led to a series of great experiences, and ultimately the FBI.
Beth discusses great teachers and mentors (even as she didn't think of them necessarily as mentors) that helped her with her choices
Munch includes some points about how nursing used to be less valued than it is now, and how she was able to work with women around the world.

Greg argues that most people don't "plan" their lives. He emphasizes his faith and God's call to explain the different directions his life has taken him -- and how it has given him a full life.
Helen describes how she "backed in" to becoming an architect, the path to making the decision, and the importance of mentors who "look like her."

Susan talks about the trials and challenges she faced in her 20s, and how her life path changed when she had children and happened into a position in a church that brought her joy. She used the interests she had before she went to college -- in art and music -- and found a new and unexpected way to use them. Susan landed in a wonderful place because she remained open to "dipping her toe" in the water of new things.

Rich has a wonderful perspective on how he picked mentors, and how he made a point of developing relationships with mentors in school and in the workplace. He also talks about those he mentored and his approach to mentoring.
Aaron describes mentors that profoundly changed, guided and shaped him at three different stages of his career. The first mentor sought him out, and affirmed and challenged him. From that, Aaron learned to seek mentors out. Some of the advice he's gotten has taken time for him to absorb. Over time, he has developed a "team of mentors" -- people who guide him in different parts of his life.
